Shay is an award-winning 6x founder: Seruus Venturers (1996); Nuvox Communications (1997); UCI Communications (2003); Green Cloud Technologies (2011); Youturn Health (2018), and the Founderville Fund. With over $1 Billion of transactions generated through his startups, he’s secured hundreds of millions of private debt and equity and filed for an IPO. He’s sourced, financed, and closed dozens of acquisitions. He created the fastest growing company in South Carolina, achieved Number 73 on the Inc. 500, and has since been a 3x Inc. 500/5000 winner. With 2 Public (NASDAQ) exits and 2 PE-backed exits, he also knows the drill when selling a company.
Shay is a graduate of the Citadel and a veteran of the telecommunications and technology industries. Shay has served as a senior executive with a variety of organizations and is experienced on the foundational side of the industry as an entrepreneur and investor. Based on Shay’s deep experience in capital formation, venture capital, private equity and M&A, he can speed go to market and run strategic processes efficiently.
Scott is a Clemson University graduate with a BS in Economics, and Georgia State University, with an MBA. Scott is the CEO and co-founder of Yesflow, the former CEO and co-founder of Customer Effective, and an Executive Officer of Datastream Systems. Scott led the development of significant value creation through both organizations. Customer Effective and Yesflow were both sold to Hitachi America. Both companies were bootstrapped, giving Scott a unique view into the scrappy startup lifestyle. Scott’s experience leading and, in certain instances, selling these technology companies will prove beneficial in identifying ways for emerging technology companies to increase revenues.
Tony brings over 30 years of financial and legal experience working with companies of various sizes and industries. His current clients include FinTech, SaaS, and AI/NLP companies. Before moving to Greenville, he exited as CFO, General Counsel, and Board member of a national mortgage company, having overseen the two most profitable years of the company’s history.
Before that, Tony was Head of Finance, Counsel, and Treasurer of an international importer, exporter, and manufacturer of home décor goods. He also previously served on the Board of Directors for a publicly traded cybersecurity company. He spent most of his career in various roles with Shell, including US Controller, Assistant Treasurer, M&A Manager, Banking Initiative CFO, and Corporate Counsel focused on Financial Transactions, Joint Ventures, and Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestitures.
An Angel Investor in SaaS, Blockchain, restaurant, and organic CBD, among other ventures, Tony is also an LP in the Founderville Fund. Tony currently volunteers through NEXT Upstate VMS program and is a presenter and mentor through The Hill Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Furman’s GVL Starts Program. Prior non-profit work was with SCORE and as Chairman of Dynamo Charities in Houston for nearly ten years.
Tony has a BBA in Industrial Administration from the University of Kentucky, an MBA with a Finance concentration from Eastern Kentucky University, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from South Texas College of Law in Houston. He is licensed to practice law in Texas and is Of Counsel with Kim, Lahey & Killough in Greenville.
